The sights at Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area will blow your mind, and lots of folks from Roswell come here. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. ![]() You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. ![]() The Grimes Bridge Road to Vickery Creek Park section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. If you're coming from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the Lodging is available near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section of Big Creek is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III(V+) section by American Whitewater. ![]() The nature scenery of Fulton County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle.
